Simple terms for using TypeToaster. Updated 5 September 2026.
The service
TypeToaster is a web app for practising typing and reading by typing on the pages of a PDF. It is free in its current form. If paid features ever exist, they will be announced with their price before anything is charged, and what is free today will stay free.
Your PDFs
The PDFs you open are yours and stay on your computer. You are responsible for having the right to use them. We do not review their content because we never receive it.
Sample books
The sample books are public-domain works from Project Gutenberg (opening chapters). Their provenance and rights are detailed in the app and on each book’s page.
No warranties
The app is offered as is, with the care we can give, but without a guarantee of availability or results. Since your data lives in your browser, we recommend exporting a backup from Settings from time to time.
Changes
These terms may change; the date above shows the current version. Important changes will be announced in the app.
